Give the Gift of Period Freedom
In Tanzania, 80% of girls and women don’t have the resources to manage their periods hygienically. Because they can’t afford sanitary products they improvise with rags, old clothes, and dry leaves. Insufficient sanitary products also means girls are often absent from school 4-7 days a month, significantly impacting their academic performance.
When you give the Gift of Period Freedom, Just Peoples project leader Lucy will produce and distrubute 5-packs of reusable sanitary pads to girls in rural Tanzania who would not otherwise have access to hygenic sanitary products. Each set of pads has been designed to be washable and last each young woman for three years.
