Extreme poverty? No thank you.
I don't know about you, but I've had it up to here with poverty and inequality. With such abundance and extravagance in the world it feels outrageous that there are still millions of people struggling to even eat properly. Or drink clean water. Or learn to read and write! We hear this all the time but it's still unfathomable.
Since you've made it to the Just Peoples website, you're probably pretty disgusted by global poverty too. It can feel overwhelming and hard to know where to start to make a dent in it.
Well, we hear you.
And I'd like to invite you to look poverty straight in the eye and say, "NO, THANK YOU. You're not welcome in my world. And you're not going to restrict my fellow human beings from living free and safe lives anymore! Now, naff off."
Believe it or not, it's not actually that hard to lift a person out of extreme poverty.
It's about providing opportunities where there are none, for people to raise their own living standards.
