In Tanzania, 80% of girls don’t have the resources to manage their periods hygienically. Without proper sanitary products they improvise with unclean, ineffective rags, and are forced to skip school every month.

Each packet of reusable pads will be delivered to vulnerable girls and women in the poorest parts of Tanga, Tanzania. Each girl will receive a packet of 5 pads that will last up to 3 years and can handle 100 washes. Each pad is made from locally sourced second-hand materials and will be made by local women. Having access to hygienic menstrual healthcare will enable these girls to stay clean and healthy, and confident to stay in school each month.
